Mets Announce Roster Moves, Option Dennis Santana to Minors
Right-hander Outrighted to Syracuse Mets

The New York Mets have announced a series of roster moves today, including optioning right-handed pitcher Dennis Santana to their Triple-A affiliate, the Syracuse Mets. Santana, 28, spent the majority of the 2023 season with the Mets, appearing in 15 games with a 6.30 ERA.
The Mets also designated Santana for assignment on March 10th, but he cleared waivers and was outrighted to the minors. Santana has been with the Mets organization since 2019 and has a career record of 5-10 with a 5.16 ERA in 68 games.
The roster moves come as the Mets prepare for their upcoming season, which begins on March 30th against the Miami Marlins. The team has been active in making roster changes this spring, adding several players to their bullpen and outfield.
